Tyrol Ski & Mountain Club

Tyrol Lodge

The Tyrol Ski and Mountain Club is a member-run outdoors club. We own Tyrol Lodge in Whistler Creekside on Nita Lake. Tyrol Lodge is a source of many memories, family traditions, and lasting friendships. You belong at Tyrol Lodge!

Tyrol Lodge is available year-round for members of the club and their guests. All members enjoy exceptional value priced accommodation and a fun, friendly, social atmosphere.

Tyrol Lodge was built by members in 1966, and sleeps up to 54 people, in 16 rooms of varying sizes. There are twin-single, double/queen rooms and rooms that accommodate a family of five. You’ll never share a room with anyone other than those of your own choosing. There are shared bathrooms and a kitchen with four separate cooking areas. A huge dining room with an expansive view of Nita Lake and Whistler Mountain compliments the warm and cozy fireside atmosphere. A games room has plenty of room for kids young and old to play table tennis, foosball, and pool. There’s also a drying room and wax room to look after your gear.

From Tyrol Lodge, it’s a 1.5 km walk around Nita Lake to the shops and slopes at Whistler Creekside. Mountain biking trails begin at our property line. Nita Lake is just below the lodge.

Staying at Tyrol Lodge

It’s fun to stay at the Tyrol Lodge! We welcome members and their guests.

Unlike a hotel, at The Tyrol members and guests meet and get to know each other. Friendships develop over the months and years, along with a sense of community. While the lodge itself is inviting, it’s the feeling of belonging that makes it a great place to stay.

Vehicle access is off Alta Lake Road. There is ample free parking year round.

In summer you can drive to the front door of the lodge.

In winter, park at the upper parking lot on Alta Lake Rd and walk, or toboggan a distance of 700 ft (215 metres with an elevation difference of 75 ft/25 metres) down to the lodge. Plastic toboggans are available to help with your gear.

Leave your outdoor footwear in the front hallway.  You may want to bring indoor slippers for warmth.

Members treat the lodge as a second home and are expected to provide their own bedding, beverages food and clean up after themselves.
