A great turn out of members for what was supposed to be a wet weekend. Unfortunately the low cloud prevented us from seeing the snow line, but we new it was there somewhere. Friday night was a late night, as we caught up with everyone and discussed the up coming season, followed by a 7am start to clean the place. With so many people everyone took on a job and the lodge looks amazing. A skip had been ordered and we cleared out the lodge of all the junk that had been accumulating over the last 70 years….hopefully we only threw out the old stuff. A few boxes of moldy food and sheets from the early days were disposed of and the rest was sent for recycling.

Main jobs completed:

1- all bedroom doors check and fix.

2- whole lodge thoroughly cleaned and dusted.

3- bed sheets washed.

4- carpets cleaned.

5- junk removal and kitchen clean up and replaced by IKEA dishes.

6- bat box put up behind the lodge.

7- chimney swept and vacuumed.

8- windows cleaned inside and out.
