Tyrol Ski & Mountain Club

Lodge Update Oct 18-2023

Hello from your Lodge in Whistler.

****

The Work Weekend on 27,28 & 29th Oct. is approaching fast. There are still some rooms in the Lodge available if you wish to stay over. Just book as usual using the club’s on-line reservation system. There is no charge to stay in the Lodge for those joining in the work. Members are also very welcome to just come along for the day if that suits you.

The cub will be providing breakfast, lunch and dinner for participants on Saturday.

A huge thanks to member Michael Reitsma for volunteering to spearhead this, and to member David Sucher for stepping up to assist.  Michael has an impressive menu written, partly shown below. Email me here if you wish to see the full menu.

Dinner (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM):

· Succulent Chicken and flavor-packed Ribs

· Creamy Mashed Potatoes and a nourishing Quinoa Salad

· Classic Caesar Salad for a refreshing touch

· Tasty Vegan Burgers for our plant-based enthusiasts

· A delightful Dessert to round off the day.

A gentle reminder about leaving items  in the Lodge.

We have about 200 members and limited space available in the Lodge, especially during busy times. Members are reminded that there simply is no room available to store personal items in the Lodge (unless it’s in your locker.)

This is especially true given the very limited space in the fridges and freezers. Please bring your un-used food with you when you checkout. The freezer space is required for members to use during their stay. Sorry but you can’t store your frozen foodstuff here between your visits.
