Become a Club Member
Tyrol Ski and Mountain Club is a nonprofit member-funded social and recreational society that exists to establish, conduct, and promote an interest in skiing and other outdoor sports and recreational activities. We place a special emphasis on families and getting youth interested in these aims.
The club’s Tyrol Lodge is a source of many memories, family traditions, and lasting friendships. You belong at Tyrol Lodge!
Tyrol Lodge is available year-round for members of the club and their guests. All members enjoy exceptional value priced accommodation – $30 + GST/night for adults, $15 + GST/night for kids. Children under 4 years old stay FREE.
About 30 new memberships are still available. We expect to reach capacity soon. After that, we will have a waiting list for prospective members. Now is the best time to join.

Join Tyrol Ski and Mountain Club
All members join initially as trial members. During their three-month trial members have a chance to get to know other members and learn more about the club and its traditions. If a trial member decides to join during the three-month trial, their trial membership fees cover the first year’s dues (or the next year’s dues if trial members join after April). How to join Tyrol Ski and Mountain Club
- Choose your membership type: Trial Member; Regular Member; Spousal Member; 19- 30 Years Old; or Out of Town Member.
- We also offer a Peak Booking Add-On and Premium Booking Add-On for those who want to plan further ahead; to support those who want and need to plan over Peak Times.
- Pay the annual dues of $400+ GST via Interact eTransfer to fees@tyrolskiclub.com
- Attend an orientation with Barry, our Membership Director, either at Tyrol Lodge in Whistler, in Vancouver, or online using Zoom
- Membership applicants must be sponsored by two full members in good standing.
If you don’t know any existing members, please email Barry, our Membership Director membership@tyrolskiclub.com to arrange attendance a regularly-scheduled information session at Tyrol Lodge.

– Or join us for our spring or fall Work Weekend at the Lodge.
- Our Board approves membership applications at regular meetings year-round.

Trial Members
- Are you interested in a Trial Membership?Welcome! We still have room for more trial members. Trial members have regular midweek membership booking privileges for three months from the date they join. During the trial period, you will have a chance to use the lodge from Sunday to Thursday and book up to 5 additional rooms for your guests subject to availability. You and your guests will pay membership rates for non-peak stays. Members with midweek booking privileges can also book stays during Peak Periods if space is available. Peak Stay reservations are accepted two days prior to your peak stay. Your guests’ rates for peak stays will be twice the regular rate. Regular Members
- Most people will join as Regular Members
- The one-time Initiation Fee for Regular Members is $3,000+GST.
- May book unlimited stays of 1-7 days that include Peak Nights 10 days in advance of the last Peak Night.
Peak Stays include British Columbia Statutory Holidays and most Fridays and Saturdays. (See the Peak Stays Calendar for a complete list.) - May book anytime for Non-Peak Stays. (Non-Peak Stays are generally Sunday – Thursday except BC Statutory Holidays and Christmas holidays.)
- Regular members may choose to purchase Peak Booking Privileges, detailed below.
Spouse of a Regular Member
Individuals who are the Spouse of a Regular Member receive a 50% discount on the one-time Initiation Fee ($1,500+GST).
Regular Members 19-30 Years Old
Individuals between the ages of 19 and 30 at the time of joining receive a 50% discount on the one-time Initiation Fee ($1,500 + GST).
Out of Town Members
- Entitles members who reside more than 400 km from Tyrol Lodge to book up to two stays per year (one stay = 1-7 consecutive nights).
- Reservations for Out of Town Members’ may be booked anytime after Nov 1st.
- The one-time Initiation Fee for Out Of Town Members is $1,500+GST.
Legendary Members
The TSMC is proud to have a number of Legendary Members in our club. Legendary Members are long-standing members, who are over the age of 65 and have been members of the TSMC for more than 25 years. A few of these members are founding members and we hope you will have an opportunity to meet them and hear about the early years at Tyrol. It is thanks to their vision, and hard work, that we have this wonderful lodge to share. We are truly grateful for all of the work that they did.

Guests of Members
All Members may invite guests to spend time with you at Tyrol Lodge.
Each guest may be invited to stay at Tyrol Lodge up to three times per year, each stay lasting up to a week.

Annual membership dues
All members (except Legendary Members) pay the same annual dues, currently $375 + GST/year. (Legendary members pay 50%, or $187.5 + GST/year.) Annual dues are payable at the beginning of the Tyrol fiscal year (November 1-October 31). Annual dues are non-refundable.
Annual dues are expected to increase incrementally each year for the next few years.
