News letter April 14 2022

Hello Members!

A LOT is going on at the Lodge and because we have so many new members this newsletter will be very information-heavy, apologies in advance!

  1. Work weekend – May 14-15
  2. Membership Caps
  3. Vaccination Passports
  4. Additional Information and Resources for New Members
  5. Closing & Happy Easter

Spring Work Weekend – May 14 – 15
For those who have never attended, it’s a big clean-up event that happens twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. All members must attend at least one!

Please note:

  • Rooms are free for both nights
  • Food will be provided on Saturday
  • No children under 8 years old to attend. Due to the nature of the weekend, it is unsafe to have little kids running around. If there is an opportunity to leave the little ones with grandparents, please do so, otherwise, if possible, it would be great to have one parent come up and help.
  • To book your room please email Sean @ bookings@tyrolskiclub.com. Please do so ASAP to ensure proper planning can happen.
  • Once you arrive please look for Andy, Sports & Social Director. He will have the list of chores to be done and will divvy them out accordingly.
  • Here are some examples of what needs to be done:
    • deep clean the bathrooms
    • clean all the drains and u-bends
    • clean all the windows, in and out
    • dust all the places that dust can gather
    • chop and stack wood
    • gardening
    • wash all the bed covers

Reminder: All members are required to commit to 6hrs of volunteer time at the lodge each year. Your “second home” needs help from everyone to ensure upkeep.

Here are some ways in which you can get your hours in:

  • Attend a work weekend
  • Contribute your time on a committee or become a board member
  • organize an event
  • or ask the board if there is something that you can do on a weekend that you are up.
  • Pay a $200 volunteer fee if you cannot volunteer your time

2) Membership Closing May 1, 2022

We have reached Membership capacity! You should have received an email from Barry Morgan, Membership Director informing everyone that as of May 1st, we are capping all of our memberships.

This means…

  • If you are a Trail Member you have until May 1st to upgrade to Regular or Peak
  • If you are a Regular Member you have until May 1st to upgrade to Peak

We also created another tier for Weekday Members, if you want to know more about this tier, please connect with Barry @ membership@tyrolskiclub.com for more info.

3) Vaccination Passports
Although this is no longer mandated by the Province, the Board has decided to keep the vaccination passports in place as an extra precaution. Please ensure that Sean has a copy of your vaccination passport on file, you can do this by sending him a photo in an email. If you have any questions or concerns, please connect with Morgan Goldie, President @ president@tyrolskiclub.com
