Tyrol Ski & Mountain Club    Hello Members and Friends! Dues Fees Xmas Lottery Work Weekend Town Hall Meeting AGM Reminder WhatsApp ChatsBOD Positions Xmas Tree DecoratingIn Closing Dues Fees Don’t forget to pay your dues / locker fees.  If you are not paid in full you will be unable to participate in the AGM.Xmas Lottery The board approved the lottery as it makes for a more productive booking policy for all members to benefit from.  This way we can all plan our visits to the lodge around the Xmas period.  The lottery is open now and closed on the 20th November with dates booked and paid for by 25th Nov.  Go to the following google doc form and read it, understand it and fill it out.  If you have any questions email Andy at sports@tyrolskiclub.com https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IOJTc7PazOP9-memn9Tf6S37a6cdvFRypb-K9YGveek/edit#gid=0 Please book any dates that you want to stay between Sunday Dec 18th and Monday Jan 1st.  We will hold a lottery to get as many members into the lodge as possible.  The number of rooms range from 4 to 12 rooms available, the numbers are still being finalised from the booking calendar. Work Weekend The work weekend was solid and we got lots of cleaning and tidying done.  WE learned out a dumpster’s worth of detritus junk and random stashed things for the project that never comes from all of the crawl spaces and closets, as a major project. Thanks to all who participated. Town Hall Meeting The town hall meeting was attended by about 60 members and we cruised through the proposed changes to the bylaws and there was discussion about opening up the Xmas – NYE time for early booking – please see below for more information.  All in an informal time to run through some things and answer member questions.  A key takeaway seemed to be that we are going to let the dust settle next year and let things settle in.  We’ll concentrate on social things and keep the the necessary operations and maintenance things and primarily concentrate on developing our community.  We will continue with our committee work in the new year, after the new BOD gets settled in and organized.  Please do participate – it matters.  If you don’t participate, you can’t complain… just like voting 😉 AGM Reminder Held by Zoom, at this link, 7:30 – 9:30 pm, 16 November 2022.  TSMC 2022 AGM Agenda – Draft Oct 2022.pdfUpdated 5 Year Plan Summary Oct 2022.pdfConsolidated Bylaws – Proposal with summary explanations.pdfCurrent Bylaws.pdf5 Year Budget Projection – updated 17 Oct 2022.xlsxLast year’s meeting minutes (previously circulated) they can be found here.  Remember you need to pay for your fees and any pre-booked / Lottery rooms to participate in the AGM.  Please make the effort to thoroughly go through the linked documents, there is much important information therein. Please join for a weekend of early skiing at Whistler before the crowds descend on the mountain and get your holiday spirit rising.  Note, as we are a club of individuals and families of diverse background and beliefs, we get together to spend time with new and old friends to have some fun decorating what one might call a Winter Tree, Christmas Tree, Xmas Tree, Hanukkah Bush, Kwanzaa Tree…  AKA Pine / Cedar / Fir Tree.  If I’ve missed your flavour of belief I apologize, it is nothing person, just simple ignorance, but not malice.  Come have some fun, then a little more fun and if you have a little room left, try to squeeze some more fun into the corners… unless you want to save that for dessert. In Closing  I want to thank the all of you for making this an exciting and successful year for our little club.  I particularly want to thank the members of this year’s BOD for the hard work; team work, compromise, reason and patience.  I would also like to thank all of you who participated in the committee meetings, work weekends, special projects and those of you who took the time to communicate with the board about your inspirations, thoughts and concerns. We are in this together and when we work together we can accomplish amazing things. Lastly, there is snow on the ground and you have to walk in from the upper parking lot, as of last weekend.  Make sure to save some halloween candy to bribe the kids with.
