Tyrol lodge is self contained accommodation. We provide the beds and you bring the sheets and pillows. We provide a fully stocked kitchen, but you need to provide all your own food. We have ovens, microwaves and enough fridges and freezers to store all your food. We don’t store anything at the lodge, other than non-perishables that you can fit in your storage locker.
The Tyrol Lodge is self-catering facility. We have everything you need except the food!.
4 FULLY EQUIPPED kitchenettes, complete with fridge-freezer storage, mean that different groups can cook meals at the same time. You cook your food and then tidy up ready for the next person. It can be a busy place on winter weekends.
Please note, the manager and his family are entitled to privacy. It is suggested you contact the lodge manager by email, or by phone in an emergency, instead of knocking on the door.
The big red door to the managers cabin will have all the details you need for your stay:
There is a large, open plan dining room, with seating for up to 40 people in one sitting. The lounge boasts a wood burning fireplace with chopped wood available from the work party weekends. You can also sit and enjoy reading a book from the shelves (take a book/leave a book), or play board games on the sofa.
There is a dedicated games room in Tyrol Lodge! This is dominated by the kids, or the big kids among us. It has a pool/ billiards table, table tennis, and Foozeball (table football) games, as well as assorted toys for younger children. The games room closes at 10pm at night. The games room has a projector screen and projector for movie nights.
Our shared bathrooms have a million-dollar view of the mountain! While showering facilities are limited, there is hot water on demand. Guests must bring their own towels and toiletries.
The bathrooms are located on the Lower Wing floor.
This was the old fire pit area, but was deemed to be too close to the lodge after surviving 50yrs.
During summer you can drive down to the lodge and park in the ample parking space. In winter when the road is closed we can park in our private lot at the top of the hill and use the sleds to bring our gear down.
Well not quite our own beach, but we have the most direct access to the lake from the lodge, so we rarely have competition for this great spot.
High speed WiFi and good cell phone coverage is available at the lodge, allowing you to use the lodge as a base for work.
Currently no pets are allowed on the property or to enter the lodge. This is a long standing policy that the club has had.
